Original WWII German Ostmedaille. Nice "Russian Front" medal, minor wear with very good ribbon only slightly soiled, maker marked "127" for Moritz Hausch A.G. of Pforzheim.
 
Created by SS Unterschrfuhrer Ernst Krauit this award was was nicknamed the "Frozen Meat Medal" and awarded to those who participated in the first winter of "Operation Barbarossa".
