WWII German Gold Wound Badge. Original Gold Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen) maker maked "65" on the reverse for Klein & Quenzer of Idar/Oberstein. This example is mid to late war manafacture of zinc and most of the gold wash has been absorbed into the base metal.
