Original gas mask and bag; carrier bag is in fair condition, with a large stain on the front, a 1/2 inch hole on the top of the flap, faintly marked "Wide" dated 1918 and has the name Roe V. Roberts written on the back. Mask interior is very brittle which is typical, there is loose charcoal inside, the hose is intact, and it has the maintenance card. Consignor researched this to PFC Roe Virgil Roberts of Lock, Ohio who served with company B, 166th Infantry Regiment, 42nd Infantry Division.
