Original WWII German Ostmedaille. Nice "Russian Front" medal, minor wear with excellent ribbon, maker marked but is hard to read.
 
Created by SS Unterschrfuhrer Ernst Krauit this award was was nicknamed the "Frozen Meat Medal" and awarded to those who participated in the first winter of "Operation Barbarossa".
