Original copy dated 1941 in overall good condition, foxing, outside covers have some wear, minor spine damage but all pages are still attached. The first page has a beautiful hand written message to SS Radio Operator Dietrich Eckert "...for his wartime birthday, dedicated by his comrades of the 10th Mountain Infantry, SS Signals Replacement Company" and signed by his Company Commander. The back inside cover has two letters attached basically explaining the book did not arrive in time for his birthday before he left to go to a squad leader training course in Prague. Fantastic personalized gift from an SS officer.
