Original uniform lot named to D.L. Shunk consisting of blue jumper in excellent condition, minor wear and no holes, with 1/2 inch plastic covered ribbons, ruptured duck insignia, and rank, and a white jumper, "dixie cup" cap, and pants, also in excellent condition with a few tiny spots on both pieces and Shunk's name stamped inside all pieces. Jumpers measure approximately 18 inches armpit to armpit flat, sleeves approximately 22 inches from shoulder. Pant's waist measures approximately 17 inches flat and inseam is approximately 28 inches.

David L. Shunk appears in a Report of Changes from Norfolk, Virginia dated to August 31st, 1943 where he appears as a Gunner's Mate 3c and has an enlistment date of February 25th, 1943 with a place of enlistment listed as Philadelphia. He is being transferred from the Washington DC Naval Yards to USS Lakehurst (APM-9) and was received as of August 2nd, 1943. D.L. Shunk appears in a Navy transfer form listing him as Gunner's Mate 1c in 1945. He is being transferred from USS John Land (AP-167) to San Francisco for discharge.
