Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) Leistungsabzeichen in Silber, marked RZM M1/72 for Fritz Zimmermann of Stuttgart, in excellent condition. Reverse has a date scratched (June 15, 1940) and another set of unknown markings (W. G/L)?

 

The HJ Proficiency Badge was instituted in June 1934 and was awarded to members who successfully passed a four-part aptitude test in athletics (sports), shooting (air-rifle), field exercises and political knowledge. The iron class was awarded to DJ and HJ members up to the age of 15, the bronze class was awarded to sixteen year old HJ members and the silver class was awarded to seventeen year old HJ members.
