This highly collectible duo was distributed during the specialized Kriegswinterhilfswerk (War Winter Relief Work) fundraising campaigns targeted directly at the ethnic German minority (Volksdeutsche) living within the Kingdom of Hungary. Both pieces feature the striking, organization-specific wartime motif: a vertical broadsword layered cleanly over a stylized runic solar wheel swastika. Condition is excellent with crisp details, a beautiful aged patina, and completely intact, functional rear pin mechanisms.
