Late war rear seam, Schlueter heat stamp 498A, exterior paint is in excellent condition with "WB" painted on the front. Nice Westinghouse liner, solid webbing but leather sweatband is dry and cracking. The initials "WB" in a WWII USN Dictionary stand for "Weather Bureau", and the insignia painted above it appear to be for a USN Flight Meteorologist.
